The Law and Advocacy Centre for Women is a specialist community legal centre providing legal representation and support to women who are in or at risk of entering the criminal legal system. It provides integrated, wrap-around case management support to address the causes of women's interactions with the justice system, alongside the provision of gender-informed legal advice and representation.

LACW's integrated case management services keep women out of prison and forge pathways out of the justice system by: 

- linking women with appropriate support services in the community; 

- supporting women to maintain engagement with services that address the underlying causes of their interactions with the justice sysetm; 

- providing material aid including vouchers for groceries, clothing and other essentials; 

- funding safe transport to and from court and on release from prison; 

- funding safe emergency accommodation for women exiting prison.
