Conquer Cystic Fibrosis

We have to keep the funds flowing to research.
We have to extend the lives of the 3400 Australians living with Cystic Fibrosis.
The cancellation of our Capel Vale Conquer Cystic Fibrosis Grand Ball this year is a huge loss along with the cancellation of the regular Bingo for Conquer Cystic Fibrosis events. Last year these events and others raised more than $500,000. The Grand Ball alone raised almost $200,000.
We know people are struggling but we wish to ask those who can and those who would have attended our grand ball to please donate a portion of the $220 ticket price or what you may have spent on the evening. It all adds up and helps our charity to keep our commitments with the research organisations we support - the Telethon Kids Institute, Institute for Respiratory Health and Australian Cystic Fibrosis Research Trust.
About Conquer Cystic Fibrosis: We are passionate volunteers who are united with a common and attainable goal.
That goal is to improve and extend the lives of those with Cystic Fibrosis (CF). Well beyond the currently life expectancy of just 37.
While this figure has increased considerably in recent decades, we need to keep going. During the lifespan of those with CF, the treatment regime is relentless - up to 40 tablets daily, breathing treatments, lengthy hospital stays, surgeries and in many cases, organ transplants.
However there is hope for a brighter future for the 3300 other Australians living with this disease.
Thanks to recent advances in CF research, there is a real opportunity for Australia to lead the world in finding a way to manage and, ultimately, cure CF.
Sadly, researchers are hampered by the lack of funding, and that’s where we come in. We are a volunteer-run organisation which means every dollar raised goes directly to the researchers.
Funds raised are donated to the Australian Cystic Fibrosis Research Trust (ACFRT), the Institute of Respiratory Health at QEII Perth and the Telethon Kids Institute for CF research projects.  We have also purchased a state of the art lung transplant machine for use in Perth’s Fiona Stanley Hospital.
Over 17 years CCF raised more than $3.5 million and funded more than 35 research projects, several of which are being used in clinical care today.
However we need your support to continue.
Only with that support can the 3400 Australians with CF be granted a secure future and experience less suffering.
