Help feed those in need during pandemic shut down

Supporting Whittlesea Community Connections

Whittlesea Community Connections

Whittlesea Food Collective

We are living through some unprecedented times with thousands of people in our region losing their jobs. We urgently need your assistance to ensure people who are struggling financially have access to healthy food.

The Whittlesea Food Collective was established through a partnership of local emergency relief organisations that initially needed somewhere to store donations they received and a place where people struggling financially could go to collect food. We were due to open our Epping Food Distribution Centre in April 2020 and in light of the increased need that local charities are reporting our timing could not have been better!

We were planning to support local emergency relief organisations that were providing food to 2,500 families but due to the financial impact of the pandemic that number will significantly grow.

We have a warehouse with cool room and freezer …

We have dedicated volunteers and staff …

We have secured access to some free food and delivery services …

But what we need is cold hard cash to buy those items we are not able to source through donations.

This is where you come in. If you have the capacity to make a donation even of a few dollars it would be appreciated as it will all add up to the $10,000 needed in coming months to meet the demand we are expecting from those in need in our region.

Help to reach the goal of $10,000
