IMPACT Community Services is committed to supporting people who live in the Bundaberg, Discovery Coast and Burnett regions. Many people are experiencing disadvantage, poverty or exclusion from social and economic networks so we´re here to help. We assist individuals and families to build resilience and reconnect with their community in a positive way so they can realise an improved quality of life.

Each year more than 4500 people access a broad range of social support, parenting, youth, disability, mental health, training and employment services. Our services help people build strong personal networks, increase confidence and self-esteem, strengthen relationships and develop friendship groups.

IMPACT Community Services is a community owned not-for-profit organisation that has been providing social support services in the region for more than 36 years.

How will donations be used?

IMPACT´s charitable endeavours support the unmet needs of the most disadvantaged people in the community by directly funding additional services which include:

• Housing Project - providing safe transitional accommodation with accompanying social support, helping people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness create a stable rental history and confidence to sustain accommodation in the broader housing market
• Client Benefit Fund - providing emergency funds where no other source of money is available and supporting social and recreational activities to support community participation for marginalised people
• Social Support Worker - providing one-on-one & family counselling services, individualised assistance and help to connect with community services and supports
• IMPACT Street Outreach Service - by night our volunteers are connecting with homeless people and those at risk of homelessness. By day we´re delivering early intervention child safety education through local schools
