DirtyFeet is an artist-led, not-for-profit contemporary dance organisation based in Sydney. Our programs provide vital support for independent dance artists - particularly young emerging artists looking for opportunities to cultivate their creative potential and gain industry experience.
DirtyFeet runs three main programs:
DirtyFeet is committed to providing inclusive opportunities for people with disability to engage with each of our program strands as artists and audiences.
How will the funds be used?
Donations to DirtyFeet may be used in the delivery of any of our programs or to assist the overall operations of the company.
Key areas of expenditure
The main area of expenditure in any DirtyFeet project is overwhelmingly artists' fees- choreographers, dancers, workshop leaders, support workers for artists with disability, industry mentors, photographers and videographers.
The second largest area of expenditure is program costs including venue hire, project management, marketing/design/PR, lighting and costumes.
The last area of expenditure is operational costs including administration, accounts, insurance, legal expenditure, staff training and office supplies.
DirtyFeet's program is supported primarily through grants and fundraising. DirtyFeet is fortunate in that we receive a significant amount of in-kind support from organisations and individuals.
DirtyFeet is supported through the NSW Government through Arts NSW.
