MAD Friends

Your donation will support our diversity and human rights education programs in Tasmanian schools.

We truly appreciate every dollar donated. By donating a few dollars or by becoming a 'MAD Friend' ($500 donation) you are helping our work.

Our programs and services include:

  • Hobart Human Library workshops that use the art of storytelling to break down barriers and build empathy.
  • Let's Get Together, an innovative program designed to help schools address discrimination and bullying and to build a more respectful school environment.
  • Living in Between: Diversity Education through Storytelling run in partnership with the Students Against Racism.
  • Professional training and mentoring for teachers.

More information about these programs can be found on our website.

Our resources and programs are designed to promote respect, student wellbeing and a more inclusive culture in schools.

Evidence shows that the best way to do this is to harness students' passions and concerns, give them a voice, and get them involved in real community projects.

How will the funds be used?

The funds will allow us to provide education programs, curriculum resources, training and support to Tasmanian schools. Our work will make young Tasmanians better local and global citizens.

A donation of $500 or more qualifies you as a MAD Friend and you will receive complimentary membership of A Fairer World and the Global Learning Resource Library.
