What is Story Dogs? 

Story Dogs is a reading support program free for primary school children. Students read to a trained dog and its handler. Dogs are non judgmental, loving reading partners, so the children's confidence and reading skills grow.

The non-judgmental, loving nature of dogs gives this program its magic. Children relax, open up, try harder and have fun reading to a friendly, calm dog.

Sponsor a Reading Session every week in an Australian School! 

For just $4 per week, you will be paying for a

• student to have a one-on-one reading session with one of our Story Dog teams! 
• ensure that our teams can continue to help with literacy inside Australian schools. 

There is something magical that happens when a child with reading difficulties spends 20 minutes reading to a non-judgemental furry friend. They lose their inhibitions and fear of being made fun of, and they start to actually enjoy reading!! It's our little bit of magic, and for just $4 per week you can make sure a child can experience this every week! 

All funds raised go directly towards putting more dog teams into schools and thus helping more disadvantaged children learn to read.

2. A year of one-on-one reading sessions with a Dog Team for one child = $100
