We are committed to providing opportunities for young people to access the benefits of circus programs regardless of their circumstances – and to work to become a national leader in youth arts and circus arts practice. 

SUPPORT BUILDING APPEAL

Donate to the Flipside Circus Building Appeal for a purpose-built circus centre that will house circus artists and companies and contribute to the future of circus arts in Queensland.

The Brisbane circus centre is a unique, specialist circus structure that combines training, community, public, and performance spaces in one central location. Created from modular, pre-fabricated materials, shipping containers, and canvas, the centre combines form and function, design and utility to create an iconic building that is uniquely circus.  

• Every donation of $5 or more will receive an entry to win one of three Circus Starter Kits that includes 1 term of circus lessons, speciality school holiday workshops and circus gear to look the part! 

SUPPORT RESIDENCIES IN REMOTE AND REGIONAL COMMUNITIES

Flipside’s remote and regional residencies are all about building relationships with communities over a number of years/visits; and helping grow local skills and creative capacity.

“We’ve had footy clinics, and cricket and AFL… but none of them have had this effect on so many of the kids. There’s a different energy to what the [trainers do]” Jeannette Greenaway, Normanton Arts Council.

Flipside’s residency programs have reached 51 communities across Queensland in the last three years – your donation will help us to stay on the road working with young people in regional and remote Queensland.

SUPPORT YOUNG PEOPLE IN FINANCIAL HARDSHIP

Flipside’s Bursary Program helps young people overcome financial hardship and access subsidised circus training.

SUPPORT YOUNG PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

Flipside’s Explore the Possibilities Program supports children and young people with special/high care needs to access circus programs. Including a weekly class that brings circus trainers and occupational therapists (from On Call Children’s Therapy) together to work with children with disabilities and their parents/carers.

Join Flipside Circus with a monthly gift and help keep empowering children through circus

$15 per month:  Subsidises circus training for a young person with a disability or special needs

$30 per month:  Delivers a one term bursary for a young person in need.

$100 per month:  Gets Flipside artists to a regional/remote community for a day.
