Our mission:
To aid our brothers and sisters in PNG to continue their mission of medical service to a large community in need.
About Gaubin Mission Hospital:
Gaubin Mission Hospital has been operating now for 71 years, contains 117 beds and serves not only the 20000 residents in the catchment area, but serves the entire population of the island estimated at 70000 people. However, due to damage and decay, it is in need of desperate repairs to prevent it from closing down. Gaubin Mission hospital is the only hospital on Kar Kar Island (off the coast of Medang), and its residents rely solely on its resources for medical emergencies.
A team of volunteers have offered to travel to Kar Kar Island, and aid in these repairs. We do however, still need funding for the materials they will be using to fix the hospital.
How you can help:
If you are not able to travel to Kar Kar Island with our team of volunteers, there are still ways you can help from afar! Local materials are yet to be purchased, and will be required if our volunteers are to successfully help repair Gaubin Mission Hospital. Please donate now to be a part of this mission to the Kar Kar Island community!
