Get Hairy is a month-long event whereby you ditch the razor and grow a beard for the month of August (options for women too, see below). This was set up by The Nick Balcombe Foundation to assist in raising money for the Foundation so that we can continue to provide support and assistance to emerging Tasmanian musicians.

The Foundation was set up after the sudden passing of Nick Balcombe in 2014. Nick was also extremely passionate about Movember, and therefore we have decided to donate 40% of all funds raised through this event to the Movember Foundation.

How can you help us?

You can either:

1. Become a CrowdRaiser by heading to www.givenow.com.au/gethairy and clicking on the blue "Create CrowdRaiser" button. Then simply throw away your razor for the month of August, grow a beard, and send people to your GiveNow CrowdRaiser page to donate. If you are unable to grow a beard, you can still become a CrowdRaiser, all you need to do is ditch something that you love (like chocolate) for the month. Or, get creative and take a cold dip every day. Get creative and bring some friends along for the ride!
