This service helps connects not-for-profit organisations facing COVID-19-related challenges with individuals who have the will and capacity to help.
At Edmund Rice Camps SA (ERCSA) we believe that every child deserves a happy, and safe childhood. ERCSA provides recreational experiences for a targeted group of children that encourages them to grow in confidence, resilience and hope. This includes children experiencing trauma including domestic violence, homelessness, mental health issues, social isolation and illness. Our work involves young adult volunteers, aged 16 – 26 years, building positive relationships with children in an environment of fun, trust and mutual empowerment.
While children have thankfully been largely spared from the direct health effects of COVID-19, the crisis will have a deep effect on their well-being, and the harmful effects of this pandemic will not be distributed equally.
ERCSA needs your support to ensure we are in a position to service those children and families that need us most, both during, and after this pandemic.
Due to COVID-19, we are projected to lose 25% of our annual budgeted income. Of that, we stand to lose 90% of our fundraising income as we are currently unable to run any of our planned fundraising events. To support ERCSA into the near future, and ensure we can meet the rising need when our programs return we need your support.
We know that the need for our programs will be significantly higher long ‘after’ Covid-19 so we are doing everything that we can to ensure we can create an environment for children to thrive and belong on our return to regular programs.
