There has been a 650% increase in demand for our Meals for Mums service as more pregnant or new mothers are experiencing heightened anxiety and depression resulting from COVID-19.  White Cloud's Meals for Mums service currently supports mothers in South East Queensland and Southern Tasmania.  Mothers suffering from perinatal depression are referred to the service via hospitals, GPs, psychologists, social works, relief charities and other facilities.  Once referred, these mothers receive 20 nutritious, home-delivered meals.  These meals are designed to give them some practical support by alleviating some of day-to-day stress of preparing food for themselves and their families.  They are also designed to give the mothers the nutrition needed to help them and their child recover from the depression. During COVID-19, many mothers have been anxious about their and their baby's health.  Many have also lost support from family and friends due to self isolation measures and border closures.
