Help us bring back the fun in 2021

$

After last year’s lockdown and all that came with it, we have been so proud to see our community band together and overcome the challenges of 2020 with amazing resilience and perseverance.

Young people across all ages switched to learning online and continued to find new and innovative ways to stay in touch however in all feedback we received from parents, participants, volunteers and staff - young people were missing their friends.

Why are we collecting donations?

In 2021, we have so far delivered programs that have let young people smile again but while our education and careers teams are back in full force, delivering our leadership and social cohesion programs into schools and the community we need your help to keep those smiles in place.

Here are just some of the programs we offer for young people:

  • Huddle Holidays - run every school holidays we provide free activities for senior and junior participants to take part in experiences such as snow trips, Bounce, ice skating and job skill courses to help them become a waiter or barista.
  • Game Changers - careers coaches provide young people free one-on-one job readiness support and real employment outcomes.
  • Huddle Up! - offer to senior and junior participants, enables them to get involved and get active through social games of sport delivered in a safe and inclusive environment.
  • True North - holds workshops that empower young people to discover who they are. Participants reflect upon and share their story, developing an understanding of how their values and attributes shape their identity and future pathways.
  • Voice Your Voice - an initiative that allows students to explore a range of factors that contribute to social cohesion in communities, and identify topics and issues they can use to advocate for change.
  • Study Squad -  a safe space for young people aged 12-25 years to learn, grow and belong while receiving academic support from subject-specific volunteer tutors.

Your support by either a one-off donation or a regular monthly pledge will greatly assist us in continuing to provide an environment for young people to Learn, Grow and Belong throughout North Melbourne and Wyndham.

So please help us to bring back smiling in 2021!
