The rotunda will be surrounded by garden beds of different plants which attract native fauna. The students will be creating nesting boxes for different native bird species and we intend using the rotunda as an observation point. We also plan on developing a variety of water-saving techniques as part of the education project which the children will be involved in all-year round. The facility will also be a community resource as a viewing gallery of the surrounding hills and will be a stopping point along the township walking trail recently established by the Historical Society.
