MWF Schools

In 2022 Melbourne Writers Festival's acclaimed MWF Schools program for primary and secondary students returns to live venues. We need your support to deliver this tailored program just for young people.

While our government funding and partnerships cover a portion of MWF Schools costs, we rely on philanthropic support to ensure we can offer the highest quality literary programming at an accessible ticket price. Donate to MWF Schools today to ensure that all Victorian students can experience the power and wonder of books and ideas.

About MWF Schools

MWF Schools is a version of the much-loved Melbourne Writers Festival created just for young people. Over four days during Melbourne Writers Festival, young people gather together to hear from some of the most brilliant writers of our time. MWF offers free, curriculum-linked education resources so students can continue the discussion back in the classroom.

Our 2021 program, cancelled due to lockdowns, was set to inform, inspire, and challenge students on a range of subjects including consent, disability, relationships, First Nations cultures, the value of reading, and the power of stories.

In 2022 we look forward to welcoming students once again to one of Australia’s biggest literary events for young people.
