Join us on our 2019 journey


As the holiday season approaches, we’re still busily working on the great season of theatre that lies ahead and I was absolutely thrilled to share our new program with everyone who came to the launch and who has since received the printed program or been on the website!

Including five Australian premieres and a world premiere that has been developed as part of our INK program, our 2019 season of 8 plays will highlight the exceptional performances and writing you expect from Red Stitch. We will continue to nurture the artists that make it all possible, as only an organisation driven by those voices truly can.

PLAYlist, our festival of new work and music, will be back due to popular demand for ‘one night only’, we continue our Graduate program and our commitment to new Australian writing through INK, and 2019 will see us move into our new rehearsal and office space at Cromwell Road – a much needed expansion which will provide us with the room we need to accommodate our growth.

Please consider donating to our end of year appeal. We have big dreams. We know we can realise them and continue to advance the vitality of theatre in Australia, bringing you big, little theatre for many years to come.I hope you have a relaxing and safe holiday season and I look forward to seeing you in 2019.

Any amount at all helps - $5 is better than no dollars

$25        buys kitchen items for our new rehearsal space or a small prop 
$60        buys a tin of paint
               (we have SO many things to paint!)
$100      buys a killer costume
$200      buys a heater for cold nights– slightly boring but uber practical!
$500      contributes to fitting out our backstage area with new lights
$1,200   buys a new washing machine & dryer for our costumes
$2,500   is a new computer - hello efficiencies! 

contributes to helping us sort our plumbing requirements  (we don’t love the water hammer noise in our kitchen)  
OR buys some stage flats ( we use one set for rehearsals and one for shows)
buys an INK workshop for a new Australian play                            
OR a touring set for when we take our work ‘on the road’  - hey Jack Kerouac...
