Reef Check Australia empowers people to champion healthy Australian reefs through citizen science, inspiring educational experiences, and tangible local conservation action. 

We are part of a global network of volunteers who regularly monitor and report on reef health. Through training, education, hands-on local action we build capacity for individuals and communities to act as stewards of their local marine resources. 

Our reefs need us now, join us as a champion for reefs and oceans. 

What does your gift support? 

• We help people help reefs. We train and support community members to monitor, understand and care for reefs and oceans. 
• We arm people with information. Aware and educated community members will, individually and collectively, reduce our impacts on the marine environment.
• We coordinate robust citizen science. Volunteer reef health monitoring can provide quality data to complement formal research programs, fill gaps, build local knowledge and engage the community. 
• We partner for action. We collaborate with other organisations on projects with practical on-ground marine outcomes.
