River's Gift

World Record Attempt

The loss of a child due to SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) is just heartbreaking. River's Gift is is the largest source of non-government funding for SIDS research in Australia. The charity was created by Karl and Alexandra Waddell in honour of their son River who lost his life to SIDS at 4 months of age in November 2011.

On the 29th of July at the Ballarat Aquatic Centre I will be attempting to break the current women's 50km treadmill world record (3:51:25) as a way to raise funds for River's Gift. I have had the honor of representing Australia three times in the 50km, once in Italy and twice in The Middle East, where the women's team won a bronze medal at The World Championships in Doha 2015. I have a
personal best time of 3:36:36 which was in
Centennial Park Sydney where I won The Australian
Road Championship.

I am asking the community to please get behind me in raising funds for such a vital cause. Together we can SOS - Stamp Out SIDS!
