Sang Pool Asylum Seeker Scholarship Fund

This fund is dedicated to providing opportunities for asylum seekers and refugees to study at university and create a future despite the uncertainty and challenges they face.

Our first recipient, Baqir, has graduated from nursing and is now working in a hospital providing vital care to patients. Without our generous supporters, we could not have raised the $30,000 needed for Baqir to attend university, obtain his registration as an enrolled nurse and fulfil his dream of "giving something back to Australia”.

South East Community Links (SECL) and the Sang Pool Scholarship Committee are now expanding the scholarship fund to give other asylum seekers and refugees a chance to further their education and gain a qualification. We have identified a number of highly motivated individuals, but we need your help to pay their fees upfront as an international student.

Thank you for your support.
