The Ability Centre

Christmas Appeal

$
Twelve Champions www.wheeliebigchallenge.com.au with cerebral palsy are working hard this Christmas to raise $70,000 to fund special projects at the Centre that are close to their hearts. But to do this our Champions need your help. We are asking the WA community to dig deep and walk hand-in-hand with our Champions to help them reach their target and bring their Christmas Wishes to life this Christmas.

Facts about CP

In Australia a child is born with cerebral palsy every 18 hours and the numbers are increasing which is why The Ability Centre needs the support of the wider community to ensure The Centre can continue providing the very best service possible.

Despite living with cerebral palsy and facing more challenges on a daily basis than most of us experience in an entire lifetime, our 12 inspirational children and young adults flow over with generosity and gratitude for the support they receive from The Centre and the wider community. Through our support our Champions have been able to experience more opportunities than would otherwise be possible and they wanted to say 'thank you'.

But our Champions felt that just saying 'thank you' wasn't enough. They wanted to let you know that any gifts, financial or otherwise are never just expected or taken for granted, and in recognition they wanted to do something a little bit different this Christmas...

To say thank you, 12 West Australians with CP like Ashlyn who is just 5 years of age and 10 year old Sarah, have undertaken 'special fundraising projects.' This special group of Champions and their families wanted to invest their own energy and time to give back to the community that has helped them so much. Your donation will go towards their own fundraising efforts to purchase therapy equipment and even a big wheelchair swing!

When faced with such difficult odds, it is the decision of these Champions to give back and shine which fills us with inspiration and courage. Each 'special project' has a place in its Champion's heart. Please support our champions with your most generous donation this Christmas. Your gift means so much and will help these 12 inspirational children and adults achieve amazing results not just for themselves but for everyone living with CP in Western Australia.
