UnitingCare LifeAssist

lifeAssist Equipment/Realising Dreams Fund

$
At UnitingCare lifeAssist, we work with older people, people with disabilities and the unpaid carers that support them. Much of our work is supported by government funding; however there are situations in which the people we work with need additional assistance beyond that available. For this reason we became involved in the annual Murray to Moyne Bicycle Relay and recently established two charitable Grants Funds that allow the people we work with to apply for one-off grants to assist them in purchasing equipment and/or services they may need. As these funds are administered internally, neither fund has associated administrative costs meaning your money goes where it is needed most.

How will the funds be used?

The funds collected through this appeal and our other fundraising activities will be collected and put towards the afore-mentioned grants funds. Each quarter the people we support are able to submit applications for grants from these two charitable funds. A panel made up of senior staff then chooses a number of applications to be allocated grants from the funds. If you would like to find out more about some of the grants we have given out, please feel free to contact us for further information.
