About this cause

Planting a Gospel-Centered, Cross-Cultural Church in Glenorchy City.

Glenorchy is a growing and diverse city where migrants, long-time locals, and young Australians are living side by side. Yet many remain spiritually and socially disconnected, separated by culture, language, and background.

We believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ has the power to bring people together as one family.

Our vision is to plant a gospel centered church where people of all ethnicities, backgrounds, and generations worship, grow, and serve together as one family in Christ.

A Story That Reconfirmed Our Vision

We recently met a young woman who had just moved to Hobart. As she visited churches in Glenorchy City, she noticed that most congregations were made up mainly of older Anglo-Australians.

She became emotional as she spoke about the growing diversity of the city and the gap between them and existing churches.

Her words confirmed what we have been sensing: there is a deep need for the gospel among both migrants and local Australians.

The People We Hope to Reach

We hope to reach migrants and local Anglo-Australians across different backgrounds and generations, bridging the growing gap between migrant communities and local churches.

Many people in our community, both migrants and locals, experience loneliness and isolation, cultural dislocation, questions of identity and belonging, and a lack of meaningful community. The gospel offers a better story: people from every nation and background brought together as one family in Christ.

What We Will Do

We will intentionally build relationships and share the gospel through:

  • hospitality and shared meals in homes
  • gospel conversations and fellowship
  • supporting the needy through local connections and partnerships
  • Bible studies and small groups
  • one-on-one discipleship
  • providing a Bible to newcomers
  • creating a space where cultures are shared and understood in the light of the gospel

How Your Support Helps

Your giving will help support:

  • hospitality and community meals that build relationships
  • Bibles and discipleship resources for newcomers
  • outreach and evangelistic gatherings
  • essential ministry administration and communication
  • our living support as we give ourselves fully to this work

About Us

We are Neeraj and Manju, originally from Nepal. Over the years we have lived and served in Nepal, India, the United States, and Australia. We know firsthand what it feels like to move to a new place, adjust to a different culture, and long to belong.

In each place, God provided faithful believers who welcomed us into their homes and made us feel part of the family of God. That experience has deeply shaped our vision for this church plant.

The gospel has given us a secure identity and a deep desire to love God and others. We rely on God every day and long to share the life and hope He has given us with those who are still searching for where they belong.
