About this cause

Help us enable Aboriginal families and communities to unlock the potential of their children.

Indi Kindi is a ground-breaking early years program integrating health, wellbeing and education to give under five year olds the best start in life and improve the global readiness of Aboriginal children entering school. Indi Kindi reaches 80% of children under five years in the communities where it runs.

Currently, Indi Kindi is delivered in three remote Northern Territory communities, Borroloola, Robinson River and Tennant Creek.

Our local Aboriginal educators implement Indi Kindi’s “Walking Learning” outdoor teaching model enabling movement, freedom and creative expression suited to the cognitive strengths of Aboriginal learners. We teach our young learners in a culturally relevant way that involves local organisations and members of the community. We help children become confident learners, effective communicators and feel connected to their family, community, culture and Country.
