About this cause

Toowoomba Refugee and Migrant Support (TRAMS) is a program of Centacare Toowoomba. TRAMS works with clients of refugee and migrant backgrounds to assist them in becoming self-reliant and to participate equitably in Australian society as soon as possible after their arrival in the Toowoomba community.

Although we receive some government funding, TRAMS relies on fundraising activities, the generosity of public donations and the time and skills of over 100 volunteers to continue to deliver activities and achieve settlement outcomes.

We provide assistance through a number of activities, including:

  • Case work
  • English classes
  • English tutoring
  • Driver education
  • Employment education
