Warrnambool and District Community Hospice

Warrnambool & District Community Hospice was established to give people with a life-limiting condition the opportunity to remain in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. Our free Hospice in the Home service provided by trained volunteers is breaking new ground in palliative care and filling gaps in existing services.  Often as simple as company and a cup of tea, the support offered reduces the emotional burden on those who are dying, makes life easier for their carers and helps prevent unnecessary admissions to hospital and nursing homes.

Any contribution you can make will be granting the wish of a person, who is dying at home, to have their end of life needs compassionately met.

The success and survival of the Warrnambool and District Community Hospice is reliant on both volunteer and community support. As a volunteer-powered organisation with no regular source of income, the Warrnambool and District Community Hospice needs your support to be able to maintain the current level of service and keep services free-of-charge to the community.  In addition, our organisation is crucial to meeting the end of life care and death literacy needs of a rapidly aging population, whose number is predicted to double in the next 25 years.
