Australian Art Orchestra and TarraWarra Museum of Art are excited to announce a new Composer in Residency program.
Via application, a selected composer will be commissioned to create a new work for the Australian Art Orchestra, inspired by the exhibited and archived works on site at the Museum - created by some of Australia's most celebrated contemporary visual artists. The successful applicant will also have access to on-site accommodation at TarraWarra for a period of up to 3 weeks, and will see their work premiered at the Eva & Marc Besen Centre by Australian Art Orchestra.
This is your opportunity to contribute to securing the funding for this commission.
Your generous donation will directly contribute to developing the canon of contemporary Australian cultural assets, and, support the career of emerging Australian creative musicians.
Your gift to the commission facilitates cross-pollination of artist practise, bringing visual arts and music ever closer, which strengthens the foundations and community of our artistic nation.
