This project involves the creation of a unique showcase of environmental control (home automation) technology, both in substance and in a virtual space. It also involves the creation of a portable assessment/evaluation kit that can be sent to clients anywhere in Australia.

We will be able to set up the latest home control technology, for lights, curtains, aircon, fans, doors, lamps, telephone and television in a domestic space. People with disabilities will be able to visit Ability House, to trial and experience environmental control options. Therapists too can visit, to expand their expertise. The real-life Ability House will be used to enrich our existing virtual Ability House (www.abilityhouse.org.au), with new video and product details. Finally, we will develop a portable environmental control kit that can be sent to clients, backed up by Skype guidance from Ability staff.
