Why should you support ACF?

Your support for ACF's conservation work will help ensure that future generations have healthy rivers, clean air, flourishing forests, unspoiled oceans and protection for our unique animals and plants. All donations over $2 are tax deductible. Membership is not tax deductible.

What has ACF achieved?

So far, the support of ordinary Australians has enabled ACF to contribute to some fantastic achievements:

• Kakadu, NT, declared a National Park and World Heritage Area.
• Sand mining stopped on Fraser Island, Qld.
• Moratorium on commercial whaling by Australia.
• Great Barrier Reef, Qld, saved from oil exploration and declared a marine park.
• Proposal to dam Tasmania's Franklin River stopped.
• Uluru-Kata Tjuta, NT, declared a World Heritage Area.
• Mining in Antarctica prevented.
• Shark Bay, WA, protected.
• Australia signs Nuclear Test Ban Treaty.
• Proposal to dam Fitzroy River, WA, stopped.
• Blue Mountains, NSW, declared a World Heritage Area.
• Ningaloo Reef saved from marina/resort development
• Great Barrier Reef Marine Park protective green zones increased from 4.6% to 33%
