Launched in 2015, the Australian Gynaecological Cancer Foundation’s (AGCF) mission is to increase awareness and raise funds for research into the eight gynaecological cancers to ensure improved diagnosis and treatment of ovarian, cervical, uterine, endometrial, vaginal, vulva, endemotrial and placenta cancers.
A woman living in Australia has a 1 in 22 chance of being diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer during her lifetime. This means that a woman is diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer every 2 hours in Australia, and a woman dies of a gynaecological cancer every 5 hours.
