The Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) - Aintree Unit is comprised of dedicated volunteers who serve our community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during storms, floods, and other emergencies.
We are the primary emergency response agency for storms, floods, earthquakes, landslides, and tsunamis. We lead the response to major weather events, including severe wind and rainstorms that cause building and other infrastructure damage, road hazards, hail damage, and riverine and flash floods.
We also assist Victoria Police with searching for missing persons and crime scene preservation, Country Fire Authority (CFA) and Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) with logistical and operational support and Ambulance Victoria with casualty handling and logistical support.
Despite the service being legislated into law as an established emergency service, we largely rely on the generosity of our community we serve for vital unit operations.
