Imagine if your school only had 16 books in its library.
This was the reality for one Stage 3 remote school in North-West NT. Reading material is scarce in this outstation, which is without road access for 5 months of the year.
In this case, we were able to send over 300 books with a library grant to follow. We couldn't achieve our work without our supporters; who donate great children's books and provide us with the financial capability to reach out to Indigenous communities across Australia.
It is even estimated that in very remote Indigenous communities, only 36% of have access to books. We hope to assist the parents and educators in regional and remote communities in Northern Australia by providing literacy resources, and in particular our own Healthy Living Series; especially designed for young Indigenous readers.
We hope you consider giving to this important project.
