Asthma WA

Help West Australians breathe easier

Asthma is a challenge. 10% of West Australians have asthma, it is the most common chronic disease suffered by children, and is a leading cause of missing school or work. The majority of asthma-related deaths are preventable, yet still every day someone in Australia dies because of asthma.

Asthma Foundation WA works with the community to help people with asthma and linked conditions breathe easier. With education, training, and research we are able to reduce the risks associated with the disease.

Ultimately our vision is to free Western Australians from the burden of asthma.

How will the funds be used?

The Asthma Foundation WA provides free support services directly to people with asthma, training to health professionals to improve treatment and diagnosis, educate teachers and child care centres about asthma and emergency first aid, and fund research in search of a cure.
