Thursday 23 October 2025 is the first national AusArt Day.
To celebrate, QL2 Dance will be sharing hourly live updates from inside our production of Main Character Energy at Belco Arts in Kamberri.
Main Character Energy features a cast of young dance artists aged between 8-18 in new short works created collaboratively with professional choreographers including magical QL2 alum Jack Ziesing, Ruby Ballantyne and Olivia Wikner.
This performance is the outcome of The Chaos Project - a celebration of the QL2 Dance creative eco-system. It is an exciting exchange of energy that inspires every member of the team, from our youngest artists to our most experienced.
On Thursday 23 October, our cast and creative team will be in the theatre preparing for our first performances the following day. QL2 Dance will be sharing exclusive content made in collaboration with the cast, choreographers and creatives live from Belco Arts.
AusArt Day offers an important opportunity to celebrate and share the impact of QL2 Dance as we enter the next chapter of our organisation's history. Our vision for the future builds on incredible foundations as we EXPLORE, ACTIVATE and CREATE.
EXPLORE - Research and development is the core of QL2 Dance. From weekly classes, to workshops, to the creative development of new works, we hold space for our artists to engage, play, experiment, fail, reflect and practice. Your donation supports time and space for deep learning.
ACTIVATE - QL2 Dance is an ecosystem thriving on creative exchange between artists, audiences and the local community. Your donation supports our engagement of professional artists to inspire young people and audiences across the Kamberri region and beyond.
CREATE - QL2 Dance creates new works, processes, collaborations and pathways. Your donation supports our fearless commitment to innovation – with and for the emerging generation of Australian artists.
