Aussie Deaf Kids

Aussie Deaf Kids General Appeal

It is the family who will bear the main responsibility for the child with a hearing loss from the time of diagnosis through to their transition to adulthood. Feeling skilled and informed is critical to the family's sense of competence, their ability to make the right decisions, and their ability to support their child's well-being and development.

Timely and meaningful information enables parents to make informed decisions and take an active role in the management of their child's hearing loss. Information empowers parents and provides them with a sense of self-esteem and confidence in their ability to raise their deaf child to lead a full and independent life.

Aussie Deaf Kids provides a gateway to trusted information on hearing loss in children for parents.
