Bags of Joy is back for its 12th year! After an incredible 243 Bags of Joy to vulnerable young people last Christmas, we are getting busy making it all happen again.
Bags of Joy is Ballarat’s only Christmas gift giving program for young people aged 12-21. The concept was developed by then, young person, Jessy, who approached Y Ballarat with the idea of providing gift-filled shoeboxes to disadvantaged young people at Christmas. Jessy was keen to bring Christmas joy to young people who may otherwise receive little to nothing at Christmas time.
All funds raised, go directly to supporting young people who will each recieve a giftcard and handwritten Christmas Card.
Donations of $2+ are tax deductible. Just $30 will brighten a young person’s Christmas in 2026.
