Every child deserves the chance to discover music - Music Education Matters.

Band Together Foundation (BTF) is an Australian charity with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, founded on the belief that instrumental music education should not be a privilege reserved for the few. Through our programs, we put instruments into the hands of children who might otherwise never hold one, and we put qualified tutors into the schools that need them most.

What your donation makes possible:

• Instruments for students who cannot afford their own, so that cost is never the reason a child stops playing
• Our soon-to-be-released flagship Year 2 program, introducing young children to the joy of making music together
• Scholarships and subsidies for students in under-resourced Western Sydney primary schools
• Band Together Festival, our annual community music festival at Riverside Theatres, Parramatta, bringing 800+ young performers together on stage
• Pathways to performance, connecting students with professional musicians who inspire what's possible

Why it matters

The research is unambiguous: learning an instrument builds confidence, focus, teamwork and academic resilience. However, thousands of children still sit in classrooms where music education simply isn't offered. We're working with young people to create educated listeners who will go on to be the audience members and performers of the future.
