We are a remote, cross-cultural regional arts organisation that runs various programs in the Barkly Region which covers a vast area. We are seeking funds to ensure the sustainability of the programs we run. These programs reach out to various Indigenous communities in the Barkly who would not otherwise have the opportunity to access programs in the arts fields of music, dance, visual arts and literature. We also endeavour towards cultural preservation in these modalities.
Barkly Regional Arts will use the funds to continue its work in the Youth Performing Arts Program, Visual Arts Program, Music Program (Winanjjikari Music Centre), Writers Program, Desert Harmony Art & Culture Festival, and the presentation of shows and exhibitions. The funds are used to access the remote areas and to pay for supplies, tools and incidentals required in the execution of the programs.
