checkyourtackle is a not for profit charity raising education, support and awareness on rare male cancers including penile, testicular, anal and breast cancers.
In 2023, it is estimated that 162,163 new cases of cancer will be diagnosed in Australia, an average of 367 diagnoses each day and it is expected that more than half 88, 980 (54%) of these diagnosed cases will be for males and approximately 71% for those will be aged 60 and over resulting in 28,000 deaths, so breaking the stigma is imperative in survival.
To help us maintain and continue our awareness and support campaigns we need your help.
With the support of our fundraising during the last year, checkyourtackle were able to produce over 15000 leaflets which were distributed to various Men’s Health Week supporters Australia-wide. That equates to over 15000 men now being aware of male-related cancers, have the knowledge to check themselves and the possibility of saving lives.
It has also given us the means to attend various Bunning’s stores, with their support, holding information days with the prospect of getting this done statewide and possibly Australia-wide in the future.
We want to be able to continue this journey and help educate and support as many men as we possibly can.
