❤️ The heart of Barrenjoey Artwalk? Volunteer parents bridging education funding gaps while creating something wonderful for everyone. It's community spirit at its best - supporting local artists, boosting our Village economy, and giving our school the facilities it deserves.
Love is where it's at!
What is the Barrenjoey Artwalk?
As you might have seen, The Barrenjoey Artwalk transforms Avalon Village into a stunning outdoor art gallery! For two weeks, local shop windows become exhibition spaces showcasing beautiful works by Australian artists - and everything's for sale.
It's a win-win-win: artists get 70% of sales (better than most galleries), Barrenjoey High School receives 30%, and the community gets to enjoy accessible art while supporting local businesses.
Last year's inaugural event was a huge success - bringing 2,000 extra visitors to the Village and creating real buzz across the Northern Beaches. This year (29 November - 14 December) we're partnering with the Deep North Festival to make it even bigger!
Not an art lover but want to support? We get it - sometimes the best way to help is simply to throw money at the situation! No complaints here! We would gratefully take any donation.
So please, explore, discover new artists, and be part of something special - and remember, spread the word!

With respect and appreciation, we, the Barrenjoey High School community, acknowledge the Traditional Peoples of the Parramatta and Hawkesbury River Basin, who belong to the land and waters that we live, learn and play on. We acknowledge that this has been and always will be First Nations land. We pay our respect to Elders past, present and emerging and extend our respect to all First Nations people present today. Since time immemorial First Nations people have lived in harmony with the land, taking only what they needed and giving back love and respect. First Nations people live according to the laws and customs of the land and sea that have been passed down from their ancestors. As the longest continuous culture in the world, First Nations peoples have sophisticated cultures that vary between different Indigenous groups. We meet you here today with the understanding that when we share knowledge there is a better tomorrow.
