About this cause
To provide young children from birth to 12 with additional needs, delays and disabilities and their families - resources, specialised equipment, therapy and educational programs and parent support and information. Biala Peninsula currently supports 400 young children and their families.

To upgrade existing building, grounds and facilities to ensure a safe, inviting and educational environment for all children in the programs.

To provide additional specialised resources, programs and support for vulnerable, high needs complex children and families.

To provide support to families where this isn't covered by existing funding.

How will the funds be used?

  • To purchase specialized resources, equipment, and materials
  • To provide additional/intensive therapy and educational support to those without funding.
  • To provide social work to our vulnerable families
  • To work together with local community groups to enable children with a disability to be able to participate in mainstream activities.

Key Areas of Expenditure

  • $1000 to provide transport for families for appointments.
  • $3000 per term for a team member to work with local community groups.
  • $5000 to purchase identified 'wish list' specialised equipment, resources and materials
  • $10,000 to provide an additional day of staff support for vulnerable and high needs children in the community
  • $15,000 to modernise Biala building and grounds.
