Branching Out’ is one of our social enterprises where we support families to grow Moringa and fruit trees for sale to the public and we also purchase the trees at fair trade prices. We pay local labourers to plant the trees, this creates local employment opportunities for several families.
‘Branching Out’ provides excellent employment opportunities for those who’ve previously found it difficult to find decent employment, but it’s also wonderful for the environment and improves soil quality and dust reduction. But that’s not all! The leaves from the Moringa trees and fruit from the fruit trees are very high in nutritional value and are used in Khmer cooking. So this program ticks the boxes for employment, health and environment!
This program supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
