Bright Futures Child Aid and Development Fund Australia is an Australian based Christian aid and development agency committed to the sustainable relief of poverty in developing countries. Bright Futures works with established development partners in India, Pakistan, Uganda and Kenya to deliver education, health and other development projects that develop skills and capacities for children, families and communities to break free of their impoverished circumstances.

What we do

In India the focus is on school-based education, vocational training, healthcare and self-help groups, with more than a thousand children and adults assisted each day. 

In Pakistan the education of children, particularly girls, is central, with the provision of clean water also a priority.

In Kenya we work with women from the Maururi slum to help them gain job and business skills so that they generate income to feed and educate their children.  

In Northern Uganda the provision of healthcare at Lukodi Health Centre and children's education is a priority.  In this area medical help is scarce and many die prematurely from preventable disease, particularly malaria.
