The Brisbane Philharmonic Orchestra (BPO) is a leading and dynamic community orchestra that brings together around 150 musicians each year to perform orchestral music for audiences in the Greater Brisbane region.  BPO is operated and managed by volunteer members who are passionate about delivering high-quality classical music performances for Brisbane community musicians and audiences.

Since its creation in 2000, BPO has curated its own annual concert series that encompasses as mix of music of the great classical, romantic, and 20th century composers, light concerts including film music and music targeted at younger audiences.  The orchestra regularly collaborates with other Brisbane-based performing arts organisations and maintains several community and festival partnerships.  BPO is also eagerly sought after as a performance partner for acclaimed conductors and artists visiting Brisbane from interstate and overseas.

Donations to the BPO contribute to meeting the costs associated with delivering high-quality and accessible orchestral performance events and offering artistic development opportunities for its members.  Donations also support initiatives such as BPO's composer commissioning program, that seeks to encourage the creation and performance of new orchestral music by composers with a strong connection to Brisbane.
