Over the last five years, the Brollie Brigade team of volunteers has provided access to thousands of free hot showers and haircuts, provided takeaway hygiene packs and products, given away innumerable socks and jocks, sleeping bags and cold weather clothing and offered warmth and connection.
If people don't have a secure roof over their heads, or like many pensioners can't afford utilities like gas, they also don't have access to hot water and a shower. That's when our service can assist.
In response to the ever-growing need for our service, and with the recent generous support of Perth-area Rotary clubs, small foundations and generous private donors, we have acquired a used box truck that is now outfitted with two comfy showers and includes an under-cover hairdressing station. Unlike our van & trailer service, which depends on hook-ups to power and water, the truck's services are battery-powered and carry fresh and grey water tanks. We can now freely move to areas of established need, resources allowing.
As we look to expand our service locations and schedule, we need to cover our operating costs such as fuel, LPG, maintenance and repairs, and overhead costs such as registration and insurances.
Going forward, we also need financial support to enable us to build a long-overdue website, acquire volunteer management software and find a place to securely park our equipment and store towels, shower and hygiene consumables.
Thanks in advance, and on behalf of the community members that we assist, for joining our family of supporters.
All donations in Australia over $2 are tax deductible.

We meet and provide our services on the land of the Whadjuk People of the Noongar Nation and extend our respect to elders past, present and emerging.
