Every veteran’s circumstances are different, and many require practical support after service.
The Ballarat Veterans Assistance Centre (BVAC) supports serving and ex-serving ADF members, veterans, and their families across Ballarat and the Central Highlands. Established in 2019 by local ex-service organisations, BVAC provides accessible, local assistance to those who have served Australia.
Veterans can face complex challenges following service, including navigating DVA claims, financial pressure, housing insecurity, and mental health concerns. These processes are often difficult to manage without guidance. BVAC provides support to help veterans and their families access the assistance they are entitled to.
How your donation helps
Donations support BVAC to deliver:
All services are delivered locally by organisations with a strong understanding of military service and its long-term impacts.
Why it matters
Veterans and their families often seek assistance at key transition points or during periods of difficulty. Timely, practical support can reduce stress, improve outcomes, and help people remain connected to their community.
BVAC works collaboratively with established local ex-service organisations, including the Ballarat RSL, Ballarat Legacy, the TPI Association, and the Military Brotherhood Military Motorcycle Club. Funds raised through this appeal remain local and are directed to supporting veterans and their families in the Ballarat region.
