Emerge Australia is a not-for-profit which acts as the national voice for all people living with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), more commonly known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). Our work gives hope and help to more than 240,000 Australians living with ME/CFS. 

As the national body, Emerge Australia provides education, support and community advocacy to meet the specific needs of people living with ME/CFS in Australia.

The impacts of ME/CFS can be debilitating, leaving 25% of patients housebound or bedbound and many unable to work or participate in community life. People living with ME/CFS often feel invisible - due to the unknown cause of the condition, lack of effective treatment options and limited community awareness - leading many to 'go missing' from their own lives.

To enable our essential work, Emerge Australia relies on the generous support from the community, as we continue to lobby for increased public awareness and funding for biomedical research.
