Cancer Care Western NSW Incorporated was established in January 2007 to lobby government for accessible cancer treatment options for the people of Central and Western NSW. It services an estimated population of 300,000.
In 2011, stage 1 of Cancer Care Western Lodge at the Orange Health Service site, Bloomfield campus was completed. Stage 2 was completed in 2014.
This provided an outstanding accommodation facility in a garden setting with 22 ensuite room for cancer patients and their carers. The Lodge has outdoor courtyards, dining, kitchen, lounge, laundry and library – all within a short walk to Radiotherapy treatment at Orange Health Service.
All donations directly fund the ongoing maintenance of the Lodge and support ongoing initiatives by the Clinical Trials team at Orange Health Service.
