Chamber Music Perth is the premier classical chamber music organisation in Western Australia. It has managed the unique Darlington Chamber Music Series for over a decade, which is the only self-sustaining professional classical chamber music series performing at the highest level for Western Australian audiences.
Chamber Music Perth offers a singular experience of professional classical chamber music where the audience is close to the performers for a personal and niche perspective; the players talk about each piece before it is performed; and there is a genuine connection between players and audiences after the show with social interaction over the integral element of refreshments that the concerts are renowned for.
Our aim is to bring professional classical chamber music that is exciting, beautiful, personal, and affordable, at the highest level to Western Australian audiences.
Chamber Music Perth aims to enrich and inspire audiences and artists of the future. An authentic focus on music education and music in the wider community is part of this vision.
Our community vision involves links to education, Indigenous, regional, music, arts, venue, technology and community organisations. Our education vision has a focus on both musicians and audiences. Chamber Music Perth concerts bring audiences and musicians together in an intimate and interactive manner. The approach and presentation of the concerts create accessibility to 'classical' music, which helps pave the way for both audience development and music education. We also aim to provide an educational and developmental platform for young musicians through opportunities for music students.
Specifics of our Fundraising Cause are:
* Mentoring of student musicians by CMP artists
* A new Youth Chamber Music Camp
* A regional tour to WA's North West for access to new audiences
* A new commission of a chamber music piece
