Over the past year, West Welcome Wagon continues to see massive increases in calls for help from refugees and people seeking asylum  living in our community.

The rising costs of living has impacted many, especially those who are most vulnerable.

Families like Asmara* who fled war-torn Eritrea with her 9-year-old son in 2018 via Egypt, leaving her family and friends and the life she knew behind in the hope of building a brighter future for her son.

Now, two years on, Asmara is a single mother, unable to work due to caring full-time for her son with additional needs.

Asmara can't even think about Christmas when she can barely afford to feed her child each day.

Please help.

• provide food to families like Asmara's so they have something to eat this Christmas.
• provide essential household items to families like Asmara's so they can prepare their meals.
• provide linen and clothing to vulnerable families like Asmara's to keep her and her child warm.

Christmas is tough for many families. For those with limited resources, it’s almost impossible.

What we do
West Welcome Wagon (WWW) supports people seeking asylum and refugees through the provision of good quality donations, food relief and community engagement.

Our recipients are people escaping persecution in their home countries. The majority of people seeking asylum and refugees we assist have limited work rights and very little income.

Thanks to your previous generosity, West Welcome Wagon has been able to support more than 2.200 households from over 42 different countries over the last 10 years.
