The Centre for Learning and Children's Rights Incorporated (CLCR) is an Australian, not for profit, volunteer based organisation engaged in providing education and development aid for underprivileged children in Nepal.
The United Nations Millennium Development Goals 2 and 3 aims to achieve universal primary education and eliminate gender disparity in education at all levels by 2015. The need is greatest in developing countries, especially in South Asia.
The guiding principles of CLCR are directly aligned with the UN development goals and current projects focus on eradicating inequalities in education, the promotion of gender equality and empowerment of women through education and opportunity.
CLCR is proud to be a partner for our Nepali School Project The Heartland Children's Academy (HCA) J537 with Global Development Group (ABN 57 102 400 993), an Aus-AID approved NGO carrying out quality humanitarian projects with approved partners to relieve poverty and provide long term solutions. Global Development Group takes responsibility for the project according to Au-AID rules, providing a governance role and assisting in the areas of planning, monitoring, reviewing, and auditing to ensure that project J537 "The Heartland Children's Academy (HCA)" is carried out to Australian requirements.
CLCR works closely with Nepali communities to ensure the endemic needs are targeted, positively impacting over 1500 children to date.
Funding will be directed towards two of CLCR's Nepali projects which together have the potential to positively impact more than 20,000 Nepali lives. Our goals surround continuing the life changing educational initiatives we have implemented thus far, and expanding them further in an effort to reach and positively impact even more Nepali children through the following projects.
Please Note: Receipts will be processed by Global Development Group (CLCR's Major Partner for the HCA School Project J537) and then forwarded on by CLCR's Relationships Manager within a short period after your donation.
